Annie Hickox
Annie was born and raised off Georgia’s coast, where she grew up as a dancer from the age of four. Initially pursuing a dance career in ballet and modern at The Ohio State University, she has always had a love for music, movement and pushing her body to it’s limits. Although she did not continue a career in the dance world, she did continue to explore exercise through running, yoga, strength training, and eventually spinning.
I discovered my love for indoor cycling after multiple running injuries left me needing an outlet that was high energy/intensity but low impact. I became addicted after my first ride, and have been on the bike every since!
Annie moved to Nashville in January of 2014, and fell in love with Krank!. The music, environment and energy were contagious and exactly what she needed during her transition to a new city. As a Child Life Specialist at the Monroe Carell Jr., Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, she found Krank to be the perfect outlet and environment to deal with the stress/emotions of supporting patients and families. She completed Krank’s first cycling instructor certification, and is excited and motivated to get to teach something she is so passionate about!Annie inspires you to be your best self during class- pushing you beyond what you know to be your limits, and then asks for a little bit more. Her background in dance and love for music are highly influential in her class design. She desires to motivate you beyond the cycling room, and take the commitment, dedication and energy found in class, and carry it with you to other areas of your life.
