Krank It Up at the Mayor's Field Day
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean is hosting the Mayor's Field Day with the Tennessee Titans on May 5th at LP Field. The field day will include fun relays, an obstacle course and other healthy and kid-friendly activities, free of charge. The relays include a sac race, a trolley walk, a tire roll through cones, a water relay and a football throw into a trash can held by one of the Titans.
The Mayors Field Day is Karl Dean's latest healthy living campaign to get people moving, this time kids in particular. Tennessee has the nation's 4th highest child obesity rate with 38% of Nashville's youth overweight or obese.
Krank will be closed that Cinco de Mayo because we'll all be at Titans Stadium doing the sac race. Actually we'll be at the Active Buys tent encouraging people to be active and on the Active Buys stage 9-9:30 leading the crowd in a body weight workout, Krank style-please join us.
Field Day starts at 9:00am, so whether your celebrating Cinco de Mayo, Derby Day or both:) you can get a workout before the festivities begin, but please leave the cervesas and julips at home.
